Yeah the Major is probably the best female character I've ever seen, she doesn't talk to much, she's the best on her job and all she never shows sorrow about her sad past (she remembers me solid snake XD).
GITS is definitely one of the best anime ever made and its OST is perfect, it mixes different styles, different themes and it features italian songs!(I'm from Italy ^^)
